To present her unique blend of Balkan World music to the UK, Bilja Krstić is coming to the Union Chapel with her band Bistrik. The award-winning Serbian singer will perform material from her latest critically acclaimed album Svod (The Realm) released in the UK by ARC Music.

At the crossroads between East and West, the Balkans has always been a melting pot of nations, traditions and cultures, which is reflected in the richness and diversity of its music. Each of the nations has its own musical identity but they are all influenced by each other.

A mixture of complex odd-time-signature rhythms, yearning melodies and unexpected harmonies and moving a cappella singing are all parts of the magic Bilja Krstić and the Bistrik Orchestra use to transport their audience.

This Union Chapel concert is part of her European tour to celebrate twenty years of Bilja Krstić and the Bistik Orchestra.
