Choir with No Name
31st March 2016

This one-off comedy benefit united comedians to raise money for the Choir with No Name – a charity which runs choirs for people who’ve experienced homelessness. It was a great night, rounded off by a performance from the choir themselves.

 


 

Sun Ra Arkestra
14th April 2016

Gloriously clad in their Intergalactic garb and led by the remarkable 94  year old Marshal Allen.

 


 

Colin Hay
30th April 2016

Colin Hay charmed the audience with his humour, breezy vocal and a dose of nostalgia (paying tribute to Men at Work) mixed in with some new material.

 


 

Bat for Lashes
16th May 2016

Keb’Mo
5th July 2016

The Grammy Award winning Blues start Keb’ Mo transported audience members from Compton Terrace, London and into New Orleans night club. You couldn’t help but feel it.

 

 


 

Sleeping with Sirens
25th August 2016

REVIEW

Fans slept overnight to bag front row seats for this stripped back acoustic set. The contagious energy and talent from the band and the enthusiastic audience created an electric atmosphere.

Lloyd Cole played three wonderful gigs here at the Chapel in 2016 & was joined on stage by his son, which was extra special!

 

 

 


 

Alkinoos & the Small Suitcase Tour
20th October 2016

Greek folk musician Alkinoos Ioannidis, brought the feeling of home to the Union Chapel stage, singing songs in this mother tongue.

 

 


 

Wardruna
16th & 17th November 2016

Two sold out nights from this Norwegian band inspired by Norse legends & poetry. Really lovely audience they bought with them too.

 

 

 


 

Ben Watt

This  singer/songwriter holds a voice that is understated, but draws audience in and keeps them there, mesmerised. His delicate voice, poetic lyrics and musicianship fills you from the core yet made listeners feel like a feather in the wind.
