A special family friendly edition of Culture Cafe for Heritage Week
11am to 2pm with tours, live music, food & drink
Union Chapel has a wonderful tradition of its space and its people being a catalyst for social change through the medium of music, art and spoken word. Our celebratory theme for the day will be “Sacred Songs in the Public Sphere”.
We will be offering free craft stations for everyone to find their inner activist as well as singing on stage and a chance to see our wonderful building.
The songs that will be performed will be reflective of the opinions of people of power of the past and people of power of the present. We hope it inspires you at your craft station to produce the most emotive artwork for social justice and change!
At 11.30am there will be a free guided tour. The tour is given by a professional tour guide and will explain our activist and architectural history in detail.
Food and drink will be available from the foyer area. We look forward to welcoming you.
Delicious home made food from the Margins Cafe. The Margins Project based at Union Chapel works with people facing homelessness and crisis.
Sit in peace or join the conversation, pop in on your lunch break or just for 5 minutes, it’s totally up to you.
Come say hello!
