Proud – Coming Out is Everyone’s Story
Coming out is a journey that requires courage, honesty, awareness and an acknowledgement and acceptance of one’s own identity. Coming out is a pivotal moment that all LGBT+ people share and it binds us together. But you don’t have to be gay to have a ‘personal closet’ and have the bravery to liberate yourself from its hold.
Join the London Gay Men’s Chorus under the artistic direction of Simon Sharp, in an exciting and joyous show that coincides with Pride in London, and explores and celebrates self-acceptance and our capacity for life-changing love.
With a diverse soundtrack of fantastic music – all specially arranged – you are in for a real treat. Presented in the stunning acoustic setting of Union Chapel, the Chorus will deliver an impressive range of songs from Madonna to Mamma Cass, Sia to S Club, Cyndi Lauper to Coldplay and Dionne Warwick to Dear Evan Hansen, all sewn together to celebrate personal and global pride.
Concession: Reduced price tickets are available to students and those over the age of 65.
VIP: As well as being a generous donation to the Chorus, purchasing a VIP ticket ensures you’re in some of the best seats in the house, and gets you a free programme and entry to our VIP reception in the interval.
Margins Cafe will be serving delicious, hot, homemade food at this event. All profits support The Margins Project, which works with people who face homelessness and crisis and is based here at the Chapel.
You must also have a ticket for this event to eat at Margins Cafe.
The Cafe opens to all ticket holders when the chapel doors open, scheduled to be 18:30 for this show.
We’re also taking limited early dinner reservations at 18:00 for this event. Be quick it can fill up fast!
