House of Pride presents… Lov(h)er
What is love?
Exploring the theme through poetry, vogue, live music, and ballet, this night is bursting with world-class performers giving us the chance to celebrate love in all of its forms.
Lov(h)er™ is the first novel and fourth poetry collection by Azure Antoinette, the black American author dubbed the “Maya Angelou of the millennial generation”.
“This book isn’t just for women, or the LGBT community; not just the newly single, divorced, broken hearted, sometimes contented—it is for you… And you and I—well, we are not alone.”
— Azure Antoinette
Firing cupid’s bow into the audience to kick start the event will be renowned model and activist, Munroe Bergdorf.
Azure’s work will be accompanied by performances from gender fluid ballerina Chase Johnsey and Vaudeville Dynamo and voguer, Symoné.
Breakout pop icon Shura will be rounding off this spectacular evening!
Book now to join us for a unique Valentine’s Day event – one that caters for everyone.
As well as Loving (h)er, you’ll spend the evening learning how to better love yourself.
All profits from the event go to the following LGBT+ charities:
House of Pride create spaces for the queer female and non-binary community, and their allies, to grow personally, professionally, and creatively. Last year they hosted the premiere of The L Word: Generation Q, and throughout 2020 will be hosting many more exciting and inclusive events.
Margins Cafe will be serving delicious, hot, homemade food at this event. All profits support The Margins Project, which works with people who face homelessness and crisis and is based here at the Chapel.
You must also have a ticket for this event to eat at Margins Cafe.
The Cafe opens to all ticket holders when the chapel doors open, scheduled to be 18:30 for this show.
