A lazy afternoon with music, tea and cake. An event for all ages. Produced by Arctic Circle.

Sigbjørn Apeland is a Norwegian keyboardist who principally plays pipe organ or harmonium.  Educated as a classical church organist, he also works with improvised music and folk music. He is especially known for developing new ways of playing the harmonium/reed organ. For this performance, he will be performing on the chapel’s own Henry Willis organ.

Danalogue is best known for his keyboard and production duties for Mercury Prize nominated The Comet is Coming and synth-drum duo Soccer96, and operates from legendary studio of the underground The Total Refreshment Centre. Trained in jazz, as a keyboardist, he’s also brought diverse accompaniment to Henry Wu, Scratcha DVA and Tim Booth. For this performance, he will integrate the chapel’s organ alongside his own keyboard set up for the first time.

Helen Papaioannou is a composer and baritone/alto saxophonist based in Sheffield. She composes music for live performance, improvises and has a fascination with games and strategies for group interaction. She is currently developing a solo project which explores minimal pattern-based ideas and hocketing for baritone saxophone and electronics.
