Organ tours at Union Chapel offer a close-up view inside one of the most treasured instruments in the organ world. Designed and built specifically for the unique acoustics of Union Chapel by master organ builder Henry “Father” Willis in 1877, the organ was fully repaired and restored in 2013 by organ builders Harrison & Harrison and Duplex who fully restored the original hydraulic (water powered) blowing system.
Join a tour to see hands on demonstrations of the internal mechanics of the organ, hear the instrument played by our resident Organ Scholar, Jay Richardson, and experience the full power and subtlety of the instrument from all angles.
