ReBalance Presents Nilüfer Yanya

Nilüfer Yanya has been announced to give a very special performance at Union Chapel, supported by Martha Hill, and Tamzene which have come through the ReBalance programme.  Nilüfer Yanya is a West-London singer who combines influences from indie rock to soul, jazz, and trip-hop. Her debut album Miss Universe came out last year to critical acclaim and was named one of the best albums of the 2019 by the likes of Pitchfork, NME, and more. Supporting her is the hard-hitting alt-pop of Martha Hill that has been noticed by BBC Introducing, and Later With Jools Holland, as well as singer-songwriter Tamzene who was discovered busking on the streets of Scotland with her heart-stopping songs, and has played some of the UK’s biggest festivals.

ReBalance began as a pioneering 3-year programme that launched in 2017, which has now expanded into an additional 3 years, offering 5 day’s studio time to a core female or female identified artists each month in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, as well as a slot at a Festival Republic or Live Nation Festival. So far, there has been 300 nominations across 6 rounds, resulting in 19 finalists, and have seen live performances at The Great Escape, Wireless, Latitude, and Reading & Leeds Festivals.

For more information please head to the ReBalance Website, Twitter, and Instagram.
