Dimitra Galani – Live in London

The tremendous performer Dimitra Galani comes to London for a unique concert with two of the best musicians of the new generation: Thomas Constantinou, a great master of the oud and the traditional instruments and the great jazz pianist Spyros Manesis. On the 3rd of December 2019, they will be performing under the magical of the Union Chapel in Islington.

The three of them created a performance including songs with influences from the East and West. Two musical instruments representing each one of the genres. The oud and the piano. The connecting link? The charismatic voice of Dimitra Galani. A singer who for years now has been between both musical cultures, always respectful to memories and with confidence in young people’s talent and sense of measure.

The show they present ‘bridges’ the contrasts of these two musical worlds which, although they appear to be distant, have always been close, exchanging elements and ideas. In a musical way, Galani and the talented musicians who accompany her masterfully, illustrate the differences and the similarities, shedding a light on the common path on which art travels. The songs they have chosen to present with a twist are popular songs of high durability. Songs that will embrace the audience involved.

We invite you to enjoy this unique concert on December 3rd, 2019, at the Union Chapel!
