Praised by Menahem Pressler of the Beaux Art trio as "brilliant" in the filming of his documentary, 24 year old Andrea Fan studies with Hamish Milne and is pursuing a Masters of Music-Concert Project at the Royal Academy of Music, London under the generosity of the Constance Bastard Scholarship. Andrea also receives complementary advice from Christopher Elton. She holds a BMus from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, USA, where she studied with Monique Duphil, a disciple of Marguerite Long and Jean Doyen, and a BArts in Economics and International Studies from Oberlin College, received under the auspices of the Dean's Talent Award. From 1988 to 1997, Andrea studied the piano and cello with Eleanor Wong, Katherine Huang and Ray Wang at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under the Grant Scholarship and was awarded the Ed Landers Music Prize of Phillips Exeter Academy, USA.
