Michael Ormiston is Britain’s foremost Mongolian Khöömii (overtone) singer, a remarkable style where one person sings two notes at the same time! His voice can be heard on “The Golden Compass” Hollywood film; David Attenborough’s wildlife series Planet Earth, & in concert by H.H. the Dalai Lama.
Candida Valentino is the only western woman to have been blessed to teach Mongolian Khöömii overtone singing and is probably the only European woman to sing the Khargiraa undertone style of throat singing. Candida has worked with the RSC in the production of The Tempest. Both she and Michael lead workshops teaching Mongolian Khöömii singing, Bija Mantra Sanskrit Seed Syllable Chanting, and Meditation, Relaxation and Deep Listening with Tibetan Singing Bowls, and Symphonic Gongs
