A double bill of two of the hippest young bands in London. You may have been lucky enough to hear Portico Quartet busking on the Southbank, with their distinctive use of the 'hang' their music veers between the minimalism of Reich and the freeness of jazz impro. Mercury Award nominated Basquiat Strings with Seb Rochford on drums combine classical strings and jazz rhythm section to create an innovative sound that is all their own.
