How to get here.

Union Chapel is located in the heart of Islington, Just of Upper St. It is a very short walk from Highbury and Islington tube station. come out of the station and turn right.

Attending an event in the chapel?

The entrance is located in Compton Terrace, Islington, N1 2UN

Dayhire/Production/Deliverys and Halls entrance is at the back of Union Chapel.

Transport

The nearest tube (Victoria Line) is Highbury and Islington. Union Chapel is located just to the right, as you come out of the tube station.

The nearest train is also Highbury and Islington

Parking/Traveling by car

We try to encourage people to use public transport as parking in the vicinity is limited. However Union Chapel has some secure covered parking available in the ajacent Garages. Please book your space in advance on 0207 226 3750 the cost of the parking space will be £7.00. All profits from this will go towards the Tower restoration appeal fund.

Other Parking info

Monday - Friday -  Parking on the single yellow from 7pm. On Arsenal match days it is 8.30pm 

Saturdays - From 2pm -  Exept on Arsenal match days when it is 4.30pm

Sundays -  Normally free, but also has some restrictions on Arsenal match days.

We are outside the Congestion zone. 

Bicycle

We encourage people to travel to us by bicycle, we have no cycle racks but the park railings are very close by.

Information for disabled visitors.

The 3 steps at the main entrance are ramped, the ground floor of the Chapel is fully accessible.

We have 2 areas where wheelchair users can locate, (though this is not dedicated space) at front of stage, and an area on the foyer. please contact the venue in advance if possible, so a space can be reserved for you.

Wheelchair accessible toilet are on the ground floor.

The bar is accessible via a chair lift, though there is one 8 inch step as you come out of the chapel, an alternative route avoiding this step is available, please ask a member of staff if you require assistance.

All of the halls at the rear of the Chapel are accessible apart from the Lower Hall which is located on the Lower ground level.

Cloakroom

A cloakroom is available in the foyer kiosk

Seating

The venue is fully seated in the pews, unreserved, no standing.

Curfew

The curfew in the main chapel is 10.30pm, so all concerts will finish before or around this time, the bar has a late licence and is always open after the show. 

Chapel Bar

A fully licenced bar is located on the first floor, please follow the direction signs, the Bar is open from 7pm on concert nights, the bar is always open after the show.

Kiosk

Located on the foyer, selling snacks, Ice creams, soft drinks, etc.

Oasis Cafe

Delicious food is available at all concerts and is available throughout the evening from 7pm in the bar. The cafe is staffed by volunteers, with all profits going towards 'Margins' Union chapel's in house Homlessness and care centre for people who are homeless or in crisis in London.

Please support this great charity by eating at the Union Chapel when you visit us.
