Open Wednesdays

Come and wonder round one of London's most spectacular examples of gothic architecture at your own leisure

Following an extensive period of restoration on the tower, Union Chapel is now open for visitors every Wednesday morning*. Although quite modest from an outside view, step inside and the grade I listed Chapel unfolds to reveal a masterpiece of Victorian gothic architecture. Completed in 1877 under the direction of architect James Cubitt, Union Chapel lies at the heart of the Islington Community.
Please note that public access is to the main Chapel space only and not to the other rooms in the Chapel.

The front doors are open every Wednesday*:

7.15am - 8am: Early morning Prayers
8am- 9am: Silent Prayer
9am - 12.30pm: Open space
12.30pm - 2pm: Bible Study

*On certain occasions the Chapel might not be able to open to the public due to private booking. If you are planning a visit, please call the Chapel office in advance to check if we will be open: 0207 226 1686 (Mon-Fri 9.30am-6pm) or email events@unionchapel.org.uk.
