Money to the Margins events are a great way to support the work of the Margins homelessness Project Based at Union Chapel
The award winning Union Chapel is known to many as one of London’s best loved music venues. A lesser known fact amongst gig attendees is that, as a working church, the Union Chapel is also host to the Margins Project launched in 1995 in direct response to those entrenched in poverty and crisis asking for help and shelter in Islington, one of the poorest boroughs in the country.
Money to the Margins is an ongoing program of special events to celebrate and share the work of the Margins Project, with all profits going straight back to support their work.

Press from previous events:
“This was the opening concert in a series raising money for Margins, a charity for London's homeless, and there was something grimly appropriate about the evening's choice of material. Gavin Bryars chose to perform his 1971 classic Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet, based around a 26‐minute recording of a homeless man outside Waterloo station...It sounds simple, but this rare live performance reminded us what an impressive logistical feat it is” ‐ John Lewis, Guardian **** “McAlmont’s take on world events was occasionally clunky and over earnest, but his voice and conviction carried even The Glare’s corny title track, a homily to Susan Boyle. It was an audacious success for a thoroughly odd couple” ‐ Ian Gittins, Guardian **** “At a venue simply made for epic soundscapers, populated as ever by a respectful and attentive audience, Max and his string quintet deliver two sets of startling beauty – all in aid of thoroughly worthy homeless charity Margins, this being the third of four very special shows" ‐ Andy Slocombe, The Fly 4.5/5”
