Free lunchtime concerts! 'Banish inflated ticket prices, bad beer and interminable waits for the band to appear, and instead grab yourself a cup of tea and a bacon butty in the beautiful surroundings of Islington’s gothic Union Chapel and sit down at noon to tap your toes to some of the best in contemporary balladry and folk-hued tunes.' completelylondon.co.uk, June 2011 Daylight Music is a dazzling idea, presented by the Union Chapel and produced by Arctic Circle, to open up London's Best Live Music Venue to a shiny new daytime crowd and provide a rather exciting platform for artists. Many artists who have performed at Daylight have gone on to become well known musicians in their field and even come back to perform a headline show at Union Chapel. Names you might recognise include Laura Marling and The Leisure Society. For the perfect start to your weekend, the Margins Union Cafe also provides a wonderful spread of teas, coffee, homemade cakes and light snacks. All profits go to the Margins Homelessness Project based at Union Chapel. If you are interested in performing in a Daylight Music concert please contact ben@jointhecircle.net at Arctic Circle.
