Distinguished Preachers
We are hosting a series of sermons by distinguished preachers: that is, preachers who are prominent in their churches, or who are significant for their engagement with the problems of modern society, or who are academically prominent. All of these preachers have something significant to say about life, and religion, today: the series will give a distinctively Christian response to the human situation here, in London, at the beginning of the 21st century.
The services are held at 11 am, usually on the second Sunday in each month. The autumn preachers will be:
14 October 2007 Barbara Glasson, a Methodist minister who has a radical new ministry in Liverpool: she is the author of the books Mixed Up Blessing and I am Somewhere Else
11 November 2007 Mark Fletcher, the Anglican vicar of the Church on the Corner, a new, lively Anglican church in Islington
