union chapel - the venue

"Sumptuous, intimate and atmospheric"
- The Independent on Sunday Good Venue Guide.

"The most beautiful venue in London"
- The Independent.

"An acoustically wonderful venue that can take pretty much anything you want to throw at it."
- David Jones - Serious.

Recently voted one of London's top ten venues by Time Out, the Union Chapel is a beautiful and versatile building in the heart of Islington.

It has acquired an enviable reputation as a contemporary and international music venue but its excellent acoustics and flexibility make it an ideal venue across the arts, from classical music to plays, dance to the spoken word.

Recent performances have included Bjork, Talvin Singh, Trilock Gurtu, Beth Orton and a range of artists from Spain, Africa and America as well as the UK. As well as hosting internationally renowned artists, Union Chapel is also committed to fostering innovative, culturally diverse projects and is able to offer concessionary rates to community and voluntary organisations.
