Alessi's Ark + Treetop Flyers in support of the Anthony Nolan Trust
 | Alessi's Ark is the musical project of Alessi Laurent Marke. Her album, 'Notes from the Treehouse' was released in May, 2009, featuring full band versions of some of the songs from her 'Bedroom Bound' E.P as well as newer compositions such as 'The Dog' and 'Hummingbird'. The album also featured many musicians that inspired her to begin making music including Jake Bellows of Neva Dinova and Nate Walcott from Bright Eyes. Described by NME.com as "astonishing and totally captivating" she is ear marked for great things. The melodic, thumping, and often eccentric sound of Cardiff's Draw me Stories is a treat for the ears. Despite their putative folk leanings, Draw me Stories always take you on an unexpected journey through scattering drums, haunting guitars and powerful hollering. With a new EP, an acclaimed unplugged album and a tangible stage presence, Draw me Stories will surely be ones to watch for 2010. "Treetop Flyers combine multi-part sun-drenched harmonies and folky Dylanesque melodies, even veering into western hoe-down territory on occasion. With the dawn just breaking on 09, expect them to have made their mark on the year by the time the dusk sets."
