On P Jørgensen:
P Jørgensen is a sound artist and composer for both ensemble and film currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. His second album entitled “To” is released on Low Point on September 14th. Exploring the relationship between composition and chance, Jørgensen created the music for this release by drawing upon a palette of acoustic instrumentation and field recordings which were then transformed via computer processing into luminous textures, crystalline tones and vibrant ambient drones. Coinciding with the release will be touring Denmark and the UK in November.
In 2007 Jørgensen released his debut album “Lets the sun drag itself out in a long ray” on Warsaw basel label Monotype Records. He recently produced the score for a feature film on Danish resistance member Kim Malthe-Bruun. A movie which will premiere at festivals in November. The soundtrack will be released on British label Under The Spire.
On Seasons (pre-din):
With his gentle and romantic, spacious soundscapes flowing over glitchy sweeping strings, the enigmatic Seasons (Pre-Din) has already found himself burdened with quite a following with those in the know, having made his presence felt performing alongside label-mates from Type Records. On Rameses III:
Rameses III want to take time hostage – slow it down and put it on ice. Combining acoustic guitar, lap steel, samples, voice, keyboards and field recordings they atomize isolated notes, before stretching them into lush oceans of somnambulant sound. These ambient explorations have scored them gigs with such genre luminaries as Stars Of The Lid, Fursaxa, James Blackshaw, Yellow Swans, Astral Social Club and Rothko. It’s also seen them put out albums on such notable labels as Type, Important, Digitalis and Celebrate Psi Phenomenon. Their next gig at the Union Chapel, a rare live outing, will see the trio unveil a one-off set inspired by their forthcoming album on Type Records, 'I Could Not Love You More'.
